  • Rant: stupid raccoon at my window after midnight scared the crap out of me. Then I fall asleep and the phone rings at 2am (nobody there). When I finally fell back asleep, I had freaky weird dreams.

Anyone want something a little fancier than a bookcase built in the New Year?

...I'll won't charge you much more than lumber costs, I promise.

P.S. Your project has to involve pocket screws. If you don't know what a pocket screw is, you need to learn before the big carpentry test.
  • Whynot, talk to Papi, we need a cabinet of some sort in the kitchen -right now we only have a cheap shelf to hold our dishes. It sucks.

Rave: Don Gato chased, caught and ate a horse fly. It was a fat ugly one too. I was proud of the little kitter kitty.

I have the sense that googling "pocket screws" is going to turn up some very NSFW results.

An alternative form of joinery (one which takes far more time) is the staple of high school shop humor ...."Tongue in Groove".

As Mougar and I have discussed, when used outside of the wood shop it produces, ahem, even less safe for work results. but wiki is ok
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tongue_and_groove

and now to returning to the subject,

I could, the kind with removable horizontal boards (as opposed to slide out drawers) are going to be much easier.

Fun with thin plywood. How many slots/shelves you need? how wide, and deep?

    P.S. Can't beat this guy's price http://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/zip/1521307285.html

    ...but can beat this guy's:

  • Em, as you are likely aware, people refer to sex by a variety of names.

You can continue to refer to it as "wrestling", we are ok with that.

...but, please keep your discussions of "the shocker" out of our polite conversations. If you can't, please at least warn us in advance.
  • ^ ^ ^WHAT??!!
