This coming Sunday, an awesome event worth coming out for - watch the video on the above website, you will want to take part in this!

Carrotmob brings consumers and stores together to help businesses go greener. The event operates as a reverse boycott, where shoppers spend money at specific businesses who have committed to spend a percentage of the day's proceeds on improving the store's energy efficiency in lighting, heating, cooling, refrigeration, etc.

This model has already been successful in San Francisco, Kansas City, and Bristol, England, and we're excited to bring it to Brooklyn. Each event is unique to the community hosting it -- the Park Slope event will be focused on family holiday fun.

Get what you need, or pick up a few things for local NYC charities who will be on hand to accept donations.

This event will be happening at:

Tarzian Hardware, 193 7th Avenue, Park Slope, Brooklyn
on Sunday, December 14th from 12-3pm
although they have pledged to donate the percentage of sales from the entire day so even if you miss the event, get to the store on Sunday and buy something from Tarzian

Tarzian will be using 22% of every dollar spent to make energy improvements to their facility.

Tarzian Hardware is a family-owned hardware store, stocking cleaning supplies, holiday decorations, and housewares in addition to everything you'd expect to find at a hardware store.
