Now is the time to upgrade your RAM

eh. It's been like that for a while.
My rig is dated (3 -4 yrs maybe)
So if i want a true upgrade, I need to get a new MB to handle DDR2 ram, the new ram itself and probably a new video card (although im SLI'ing mine simply for a select game which is more than enough)
Then I would need to upgrade to Vista to take advantage of all 4 gigs of memory (XP has a 3 gig limitation)
I'll wind up getting a new rig

32-bit Vista has the same memory handling capacity at 32-bit XP. Move to the 64-bit version to increase usable RAM. As a bonus, 64-bit Vista seems to be more stable than the 32-bit version. Also, if you wait any longer, you'll be in DDR3 land; both AMD and Intel are moving to DDR3 for their new chips. Also, it's unfortunate but true, but a single, new mid-range card is likely going to outdo your SLI'd cards from a few years ago...
