Snowboarders in the Heights?

Hi,

My gf and a few other friends love to snowboard!

We mainly hit the Creek a few days a week. Are there any other snowboarders / skiers in the area who would like to ride? We usually split the cost of a zip car and head up to the mountain.

We leave between 10 am and 2pm during the week. it depends on who gets out the latest. On the weekend, we try to leave around 9am - 10 am.

Hey! Just got your PM. Sounds great, I am always down to split the cost of a car an go riding. I work during the week, but would love to go on the weekends and monday holidays. I have never been to mountain creek, heard it has a pretty decent park tho. I usually go up to VT and NH and try and do long weekends. Also, it would be fun to hit up hunter and wyndam in NY for day trips.

Keep me posted when you are headed up, also my bf rides too and would also love to go

Vt is fun, I've not gone to NH.

Long weekends are great.., but I so rarely have them.

I prefer The Creek to Hunter because of time. The Creek is 1hr 15mis to 1hr 40mins depending on traffic. And I mainly do park.

I went to Hunter twice and it's great especially if you like long runs. I just hate the 3 hr each way commute.

I definitely will keep you guys abreast of our weekend trips and please let me know of any long weekend trips you plan to Vt or NH.

Count me in! I have all my gear and haven't had a chance to ride in two seasons so I'm hating it. I can go pretty much any weekend and def down to make new friends as well since I'm new to the city.

When's the next weekend excursion?

I haven't been boarding in a couple seasons and I would love to start again. My roommate boards as well. I would love to go one weekend if there are room for two more people.

I'm definitely heading to the Creek on Monday Jan. 29th.

This Saturday, Jan. 10, I'm probably heading out in the bus. My gf is still banged up from her last trip, she's a newbie, so no convenient car ride for me.

There seems to be a weekend preference. Because of the bus options on the weekends I tend to be more laid back to deciding if I go. Because if we don't do the zip car, Port Authority has a Sat and Sunday bus to the Creek round trip for 20.50. Leaves at 7:30 AM. and returns about 7PM.

Can you post some links with more info on the creek? I'm new to the area and haven't heard of it but I am really interested in getting to a mountain, and soon with all this snow in store...
