Haircut in the Slope?

New to the Slope...

What's a good place to get a haircut? Stylish yet affordable. I'm a guy - like to keep it short so get it cut often.

Thanks.

  • Park Slope Barber Shop on 7th ave (forgot the cross street, but it's in the mid-single-digit numbered streets). Totally old school. The music: big band era jazz, sinatra, etc. The barbers: two brothers and one other guy who have all the gossip on the neighborhood. The haircuts: good and at a reasonable price.

Yes, it is the place to go. East side of 7th Ave. between 3rd & 4th Sts.
Always has the best magazines, music, newspapers while you wait.
The music is top-rate, and is always playing. 98% of the time its from their extensive CD collection. Bonuses include the front window - displays rotate with the seasons and there's always a model train village for Xmas ... and also during the holidays ... some liquid refreshment of the distilled type.
Good haircuts, too. People from all walks and ages come in from put-the-booster-seat-in the chair to help-the-old-guy-in-with-his-wheelchair.
