MARCH from Brooklyn Borough Hall to a RALLY at City Hall: Tuesday 6/7
The March and Rally are Against Bloomberg's Sweetheart Development Deals Around the City, Against Bruce Ratner's Proposed 17 High Rises and Arena in Brooklyn And FOR Community First Development !

The rally and march is tackling the citywide epidemic of backroom sweetheart development deals, led by the Bloomberg Administration which ignore the the needs, hopes and desires of communities throughout the city. Instead these sweetheart deals are trampling on and destroying communities, spending massive amounts of public dollars, and primarily benefiting developers.

WHEN DO OUR COMMUNITIES START GET SWEETHEART DEALS!?
DATE: Tuesday, June 7th @ 5 p.m.

Start Gathering at Brooklyn Borough Hall at 4:30 (start time 5pm) or be at the Southern Tip of City Hall Park by 6:15 p.m. Borough Hall: 209 Joralemon Street (2/3/4/5/A/C/F/M/R to Borough Hall & Court Street) City Hall (2/3 to Park Place, 4/5/N/R/W to City Hall)

--------VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO HELP PREPARE---------

We need as much help as possible flyering to mobilize the public to come to this event. And preparing, if you will volunteer please reply to this email.

WE HAVE 46 FLYERING SHIFTS TO COVER - LET'S ALL PITCH IN!

6 people have responded; we need to hear from 38 more.
HAND CARDS:

1. We need people to flyer at specific subway stations during the morning rush hours during the weekdays between May 31 and June 6.While the subway shifts are not the most popular, they are the most effective. Please sign up for a morning shift! There are many subways to cover; we will go out in pairs.

2. Flyering at 3 greenmarkets on Saturday May 28 and Saturday June 4:

Grand Army Plaza,Borough Hall,Fort Greene Park

3. Flyering in front of the Food Coop on Sunday May 29 and Sunday June 5

4. Flyering in front of PS 321 in the morning where parents arrive to bring their children to school. We are also looking for someone to coordinate this effort.This will take place during the weekdays of May 30 week.

5. First Night at the Museum on June 4th.

POSTERS: We can assign blocks to post flyers in store windows and on street lamps etc. This needs to be done Wednesday June 1 through Monday June 6

ART! PREPARING SIGNS, PROPS AND MORE FOR THE RALLY (we'll supply art supplies, but bringing your own is good too!) Saturday, June 4, 4-8 pm at Freddy's backroom bar (corner of Dean and 6th) Monday, June 6, 5-8 pm at Freddy's backroom bar (corner of Dean and 6th)

DAY OF THE EVENT

We will need organizers and "marshalls" on the day of the rally and march, at borough hall, along the march route and at city hall.
