Need help setting up DVR recordings

Okay, maybe I'm an idiot, but Time Warner recently traded out my two-year-old cable/DVR box for a new one, and I'm having trouble with the interface.

On the old one, if you set a series up to record you could tell it to record only a particular time slot. That way you don't end up with multiple recordings of shows that air the same episode at 8:00 pm Tuesday then midnight Tuesday then 7:00 pm the next week right before the next episode, etc. I can't figure out how to set the same limit on the new box. Has anyone else? And if not, why would even a terrible company like TWC do away with such a useful function?
