Sorrel
We had dinner at Sorrel last night and it was it was incredible... Just one thing and hope the owners or our wonderful waiter is reading this... But there is a product called Tube Trap. It is a device that you put in the corners of a room and it deadens sound. The restaurant is amazing but it is noisy.
Cheers!
Ps. I know this is an old topic!

That's one of my biggest peeves. So you have to pay a small percentage of the transaction to the card vendor- how many people are you turning away by not offering the convenience?! Christ, even White Castle takes cards! -

Depending on the honesty of the businessperson (not that I'm making any accusations), there are other potential advantages to an all-cash business in terms of taxes. -
Processing credit cards and the resulting percentage based fee is not a tiny transaction, it's a larger percentage than you would think. You also have to buy or lease the CC machine, have a dedicated phone line, there are also bank fees as well as fees associated with monthly service, and also a fee for your CC statement. The profit margin in a restaurant is very small, and every bit counts.
Businesses provide all this as a convenience to our customers, but we *are* paying dearly for it.
You really use a card at White Castle? Aren't those burgers like...15 cents or something?

I think they're about 50 cents, but by the time you get like 10 of them, and chicken rings, and soda... that shit adds up!

I'd be quite ill before I made the $10. min to run a card through.

Roux 42, was Ellis G there when you went (see photo in the thread above)? -
Naaah...
He was not our waiter. Our waiter was wonderful, friendly and very helpful. Really nice guy.
Ellis G. seems to be rather annoying.... -
Holy Shit! In all the posts I've read about Ellis G, I thought he was an annoying snot-nosed brat....but in his pic he's CUTE.
I'm going to Sorrell to stalk him now. Heh. -

beating what horse? im mad at him because he spammed my personal blog over and over (and over and over, etc) and acted like a huge asshole there. i bet it would be really amusing to confront him about his "anonymous/internet" antics in person, thats all.
Howdy, Stranger!
