Virus protection

Save your condom jokes.

I've been using McAfee and they automatically renew you (I guess unless you state otherwise) and they no longer offer single user licenses. I was charged 97.83 for a three user license! I think that's a retarded amount to pay. Needless to say, I got a full refund. Does anyone have one they recommend?

  • AVG and Avast are both free and about as good as any other anti-virus software out there.
  • I currently use AVG and have for years and I lurve it.

I'm going to try the AVG. I still have a month left on my McAfee before the year I actually paid for expires. That's another thing that annoyed me, I think I should at least gotten a notice stating that they were going to do the renewal instead of just charging me a month in advance.
  • AVG, Avast and Avira are all great. They're generally rated as highly or higher than the paid products.

And here are the condom jokes:

  • I use Zone Alarm Internet Security suite. I when I need to renew Frys.com often has it for $0.00 after rebate

I would never signup for automatic renewal. I found that it is always been cheaper to buy a new license than to renew the current one, and so what if I go a month without and update
