Busy night on Prospect Place — Brooklynian

Busy night on Prospect Place

Anybody have any idea what the bloodcurdling screaming coming from the parked FDNY ambulance on Prospect Place between Bedford and Franklin at about 11:45 p.m. tonight was all about?

A division chief's Excursion was parked behind it and a police cruiser was parked on the other side of the street. None of the cops or medics were acting like it was a life-threatening circumstance.

Also, there was a gaggle of cop cars parked out on the street for several hours earlier. Judging from the helicopter overhead, I'm thinking that might have been a perp search.

Comments

  • The gaggle of police cars and helicopter earlier in the night for part of a search for a missing 14 year boy with autism. Can't speak for the ambulance though.
  • Oh! Well, I certainly hope they found him safe. Thanks for the info.
  • Thanks for the update, ParadeRest. This serves as a helpful reminder to the board's cop-haters that the police typically help, rather than harm, other people.
  • Child was safely returned home just before midnight.
