Dinner this evening
Went to steinhoff for dinner this evening. Have always loved the beef
goulash...two out of four of us ordered that at full menu price,
well it is still quite tasty but there wasn't much to it. We arrived early had some drinks then got seated at five. Dinner was just starting so I can't say they had run out or run low on our dishes -- I understand everyone is trying to save money and so, I can understand not having a lot of meat but really, between my bowl and my friends bowl, we barely had a half a potato between us?
There were possibly 3 to 4 small pieces of beef, but really, if red potatos have gotten that expensive that you can't expect more than three small
wedges in this sort of dish that's pretty sad. When they started out
that dish could have been shared by two people easily. Again, I know
costs have gone up but I truly felt robbed this evening. Perhaps they
should use regular potatos - they cost less and maybe we would have
left feeling full and not taken. I still like the place but just can't understand
what happend . So disappointed as I don't get out as much as I'd like to
and this turned out to be a bad choice for hungry people.
Perplexed for sure.

Steinhoff has always been patchy. The service is either fine or terrible. The food is either awesome or blah. I won't eat there anymore because you never know if you are getting the good Steinhoff or the bad.

They better not water down the drinks.

The drinks were fine, and the waitstaff pleasant, just still can't believe
how little we received in our bowls. I guess we'll just go for the drinks
in the future or eat there only if we are looking for a taste of something
and not a dinner meal.
