Megabus anyone?
Has anyone used this bus service? If so any opinions? It's ridiculously cheap!

A friend of mine goes to DC every other weekend and she swears by Bolt.

I took megabus from Toronto to Buffalo in the summer - it was great! (Cheap, on schedule, comfortable, not packed. Think it had wi-fi so I could watch our journey on google maps!) I'd definitely take it again.

Subject: Chinatown Bus/Double Happiness
I go to DC and Wilmington, DE quite a bit by bus, and I use gotobus.com (a.k.a. "The Chinatown Bus"), or Double Happiness. Super cheap, clean and well-run. -
I have heard Bolt is the way to go. If you buy early enough, they are also super cheep. Plus free wifi.

I'm going to Baltimore...wonder what the diff. between Bolt and Megabus are (if there are any!)

Megabus to Boston is fine. The more in advance you book the cheaper it will be. The bus is a bus no better or worse than other buses.

Very little difference. Bolt has AC outlets, so you can plug in a laptop charger if you have poor battery life. Megabus is double-decker bus (but has a distrubingly low ceiling on the 2nd floor). Both have wifi.
Washington Deluxe is the only DC-NY bus company that picks up in Brooklyn (although not so useful unless you live in Wburg or Bed-Stuy). I don't think they stop in Baltimore anyway. And no wifi. -
Got my answer...Bolt doesn't go to Baltimore :-( Wifi, while a great perk, won't work on a bus for me -- I get motion sickness from reading in cars and buses, blecch.
Thanks all - and I definitely won't head to the 2nd level! -
I use Megabus to go to Philadelphia almost every week - they are great - super cheap, relatively clean and usually the passengers are polite - i.e. not gabbing on cell phones or eating smelly meals.
