Nice Couple Looking For One Bedroom Apt

We're a married couple (with one small cat) who are looking for a one bedroom apartment in the $1000-$1200 range. We're not too concerned about the area, though we'd prefer a smaller building/private house rather than a co-op or apartment complex.

We're quiet, responsible, and have excellent credit and references. We'd also prefer to deal directly with an owner, not a broker.
