I love to take advantage of this, but, money is tight this year. Plus, it was almost impossible other years to get into most places. A lot of the restaurants will only do very certain times, etc.

We ate Bar Tano (9th street and 3rd ave.) When we mentioned Restaurant week the waiter looked at us clueless and retreated to back to discuss with manager. The deal was appetizer and a pasta and desser for $23.00. There were good choices. This was not a menu culled from their real menu. The meal was fabulous. I can recommend the antipasta which was cheese, cold cuts nice), peppers. The pasta with pesto was lovely. I think it was veal meatballs with polenta and a tagatelli pasta that was beautiful. Just a great meal. We had 3 adults and a well behaved 3 year old who we ordered pizza for off the regular menu ( $8) a beer and a wine. The bill was $100 and we left a 25% tip. Remember your waiter during Restaurant Wekk because unless you go over the top they lose money unless of course the place is unusually filled that week.
