If you have a sad mac under with Apple Care and apple refuses to fix it because of this or that, go to the Mac Support Store.

They have fixed 3 laptops in my family that Apple straight refused to service with out first forking up at minimum $1000 for cosmetic repairs. (dented cases, scratches etc). Tekserve was no help (and I know Lerner from back in the BBS days), they wanted money to replace the cases too. Their philosophy is, if the case is damaged, that's what caused what ever problem is wrong with it. Even if it is a known issue like that defective Video Cards that went in the MBPs (which killed one), or Bad Optical Drives (which killed the other two). They will tell you that they cant be fixed with out replacing the cases first.

The good folks at the MSS look at problems not vanity and had all three fixed under warrantee.
