  • This is such a sad story. But friends, family and fans might be comforted to hear his voice and some bits from his radio broadcasts on his older website. It's almost as if he wrote the story of his own career there, complete with a top ten list of most important news days in his career.

  • IF what the newspapers say is really true, I must wonder (after barfing) what would make a 16 year old do such a thing...and a 47 year old trust craig's list. Was the killer going through intense teenage angst or mentally ill? I feel bad for Weber and Weber's loved-ones. I also pity the killer's family members. Why would someone so young throw his life away?

Mentally ill. His MySpace was filled with hate rants and pics of him holding knives.

You should feel bad. Especially after making comments about barfing after reading the story. That's just rude and won't make his friends/family feel better.

    * Full disclosure (as I stated on the original thread)- my mom was both friends and a co-worker of George's. She also told me that I had met him at some point, she was sure, although I don't really remember.

Stop talking shit, please. Thank you.
  • Oh, and for the record- by my telling of my mom's relationship with George, am I looking for sympathy. As I said, I barely remember meeting him. I just want to express the thought that when you talk shit over the interweb, you're not in a closed community. Even on Brooklynian.
  • The way I interpreted what Raw said about barfing is that he was couldn't believe that a 16-year-old would do such at thing. I didn't get that he was dissing Weber (but I could be wrong).

Also, I know 2 people who have gotten more than 1 date off of CL (not me - although I was just looking for an apartment years ago and people were freaks). From the article I read today in The Post, it's very common.
