The Greater New York Ice Hockey League (GNYCIHL) is offering a free Learn to Play Hockey Clinic for children ages 4 - 8. The GNYCIHL is located at the Abe Stark Ice Hockey Rink in Coney Island Brooklyn. It is a non profit organization that has been teaching children the joys of hockey for more than 40 years.

The Free Learn to Play Hockey Clinic is entirely FREE. It is a 4 week clinic that is held on Saturday mornings for 4 weeks. Your child (age 4 to 8) will get everything he or she needs to learn to skate & play hockey. The clinic includes all equipment necessary (helmet, chest protector, elbow pads, hockey pants, shin guards, skates and a stick.) Once you sign up, the equipment is assigned to your child for the entire 4 week period. If your child would like to continue beyond the 4 week period, you can then sign up for the Initiation Program where they can further hone their skills. There is one fee associated with the program ... it is a USA Hockey registration fee. This fee registers your child with USA Hockey (the governing organization for all hockey players in the United States www.usahockey.com.)
