Looking for volunteer opportunities in the Clinton Hill/Fort Greene area--specifically would like to tutor or help someone learn to read, or help at a senior center. Does anyone know of opportunities?

  • It's not in CH/FtG, but I am the volunteer/tutor coordinator for the school I work at in Harlem. Small, 1-5 private school. If you don't mind the trek, we're always looking for help. Go ahead, PM me.
  • Try the Imani House on 5th between Warren and St. Marks. They do great work in the neighborhood teaching Math literacy AND Verbal Literacy however its a broad organization that focuses on many of the needs in the community. Their classroom is at the church on St. Felix in Fort Greene and most of the students come from Clinton Hill/Ft Green/Bed Stuy. I'm sure they could use your help!
