It's still a crazy story, but now you make me wonder if the OP isn't Kari Farrell herself. Besides, Vanderbilt and Park is Prospect Heights, and seems like a real Park Sloper would know that.

The other interesting thing (to me, at least) is that she's made absolutely no attempt to hide or change her identity.

Still, it's a cuh-ray-zee story.

OK, so halfway through that story I thought "This is the biggest jr. high drama queen bullshit ever". I can't believe that none of those morons called her on the "I've got cancer" or the "Can I just deposit checks into your account".
