Albemarle Neighborhood Association meeting, Thursday, 4/23
Albemarle Neighborhood Association meetings are open to all. The message below was published in the Albemarle Neighborhood Association, Inc. newsletter and was written by Larry Jayson, President.
"The Albemarle Neighborhood Association will hold its community meeting on Thursday, April 23rd, 2009 at the Flatbush & Shaare Torah Jewish Center, 327 East 5th Street (corner Church Ave). The meeting will start at 7:00 pm (sharp).
As we did not hold our meeting in March, there will be much work that must take place at this April meeting. First, we will have the Treasurer's Report for 2008. This will include our projected 2009 Budget.
We will then hold our Election of Officers for 2009. Marie Casaretti [Vice
President] and Laura Kramer [Recording Secretary] have told the Nominating Committee that they will not seek re-election. Virginia Callahan, Treasurer, would very much like someone to replace her. Phoebe Fleitman, Jim Henning and I will again run for office.
Anyone wishing to run for any office should contact either Linda Henning or me [718-435-7585] prior to the April 23rd meeting. We will also be taking nominations off the floor at the meeting. It is very important to the
organization that all offices be filled.
Prior to that, contact the ANA president, Larry Jayson, at the Brooklyn Housing & Family Services (which he also runs) (718-435-7585) if you wish to run.
We will also discuss events that occurred during the winter and future plans for the organization.
As during this past year, Foodtown will supply refreshments for the meeting.
We look forward to seeing everyone on April 23rd at 7 p.m."
