Questions about hosting a stoop sale — Brooklynian

Questions about hosting a stoop sale

I'm considering holding a stoop sale in Greenwood Heights, and I wonder if anyone else has held one in this area. I'm wondering if I'll get the foot traffic to even make it worth my while. I imagine I'd have to post fliers pretty extensively up into South Slope in order to draw people.

Thoughts?

Also, does anyone know of any laws or regulations regarding stoop sales that I should know about?

  • There's the 4th Annual block-long stoop sale on 23rd St. btwn 6th and 7th Aves on Sat. May 16th.

You are more than welcome to join in, except you'll have to schlep your goods to 23rd St., but some folks from 20th St. and 21st St. are doing so...lots of room on the Green-Wood side of the street.

    What block are you on?

You should have NO PROBLEMS. It's not like a block party, which has to go through the Community Board.

PM me if you want more info.
  • Do I need to ask anyone to join? I may have some clothes/books. I'm on 22nd.
