Subject: What's everyone doing today?

It's kinda gloomy but I'd hate to be stuck indoors. I hear a rumor that the ballfields opens today? Any other local events?

  • oh, big things!

moving from my couch to my bed to the kitchen on crutches whilst unshowered and wearing a fishing vest with lots of pockets to carry things back and forth.

i may plow through my tivo and have some work to do.

livin' the dream, i tell ya ;)
  • Going to see the cherry blossoms at BBG. They are prime right now and will probably fall off in the next couple of days (especially with the anticipated rain): http://www.bbg.org/exp/cherries/map.html

Then, a low-key night at the Brooklyn Inn tonight.

It's First Saturdays at the Brooklyn Museum tonight, if anyone is interested: http://www.brooklynmuseum.org/visit/first_saturdays.php
  • Thanks to my friend I was reminded that I actually have plans today. Duh! ](*,) it's Whynot's party.

but I might check out the blossoms tomorrow!
  • Brooklyn Food Conf! And guess what - the Co-op's kinda empty because guess where everybody is? So I did a shop, and am home w/my little one who is sick with allergies. Making strawberry rhubarb pie later.
  • i was gonna do some planting and still might if it stops raining. I don't need sun or even dry ground to sir down on. A little breakthrough of sun would be nice.
  • just went to the farmer's market, and now I'm gonna make fresh rhubarb cobbler and then pickled ramps. woohoo, spring produce!
  • ahem, dude-mougar-mamacita-voodoo party.
  • ahem, work and then derby partay!!!!!!!!!!!
  • horray it actually looks nice out! Going to get provisions then heading to the bday extravaganzaaa
  • Well the sun did come out and I got some planting done. If you know where I live (lol) worth a walk down the block. The lilacs are in bloom.
  • I have 2 strawberry rhubarb tarts! (A friend has a b'day tonight.) Now on to making pizza margharita, with fresh spring peas and watercress salad.

I was on a work trip and while leaving the hotel I took a bad step on some uneven pavement and wiped out. Bad sprain (possible ligament damage - but I hope not) and am on crutches and an air cast.

Potter has been by a few times keeping me sane and taking out garbage and making sure I have food. I think the Beave is going to come by tomorrow too.

I do appreciate the offer....and if you're cooking more of that good stuff, I might take you up on it :lol::lol:
  • that rhubarb tart sounds YUMMY.
