i'd say tavern on nostrand for wine, cornelius for whiskey. sepia is nice, though i bet parking will be harder -- and their prices can vary in appropriateness.

I may check out cornelius since I've never been there. However, Tavern is cool and within walking distance....decisions, decisions.

If you're going out to drink, I'd suggest leaving the car at home. In most wine bars I've been to the glass of wine they serve is at least two standard drinks, which is enough to impair your driving ability, if not put you over .05.

you live within walking distance of bars but are choosing to drink and drive? leave the car at home, please.

that said, i'd recommend cornelius, weatherup, or getting a table at beast.
