There was no answer but the Bird Hotline recording said to leave the bird where you found it because the mother knows where it is and will feed it when danger passes. This has been a few hours though. Also, there was one dead bird we had to dispose of

poor birdie.
i hate to say it, but anytime i've found a sick or wounded bird, there's been a bad ending.
that said, Caseopele recently rescued a gorgeous bird and that had a happy ending -

Thanks Flexi and BP. You're right Flexi, not a happy ending today. We put out a little water for it and gave it a safe place near where it fell hoping the mother would find it. Damn nature.
