Prospect park mile markers

The inner loop in Prospect Park has mile markers, unfortunately I only ever notice the 2km (I think) and another one, can't remember what they are right now, they're by the tennis courts. Does anyone know where the actual start is, and if they're accurate?

I was wondering the same thing. I remember one being 1 1/3 or something like that.

I also timed the walk all the way around being an hour.

I found this about Prospect Park:

For your convenience here are the distances for some of the most common loops:

* Full inner-loop: 3.36 miles
* Full outer-loop: 3.68 miles
* Southern-loop (red and green): 1.76 miles
* Larger Southern-loop (red and orange): 2.06 miles
* Middle-loop (green and orange): 1.54 miles
* Larger Northern-loop (brown, blue, and green): 2.84 miles
* Northern-loop (brown, blue, and orange): 2.44 miles

There are mile markers every quarter mile for the "Prospect Park Track Club: Summer Speed Series. The course starts on the inner loop road across from the zoo. If you look at the map references above it is kinda where the blue line goes for .71 miles.

there are 5k markers too. the start is on the road in the wooded section right before you get to the back side of the zoo. the one mile marker is right past the 3rd Street playground, 1 1/2 miles is right by the turn by the Bartel Pritchard Square, mile 2 is toward the bottom of the hill right near Wellhouse Road. Mile 3 is just past the stoplight by the skating rink. They are marked every quarter mile with white paint, I believe.
