Parade/Marching Band on 10th Ave Today — Brooklynian

Parade/Marching Band on 10th Ave Today

anybody know why? Seemed to be mostly old men marching behind the band. I'm thinking maybe D-Day anniversary, but I thought that was yesterday.

  • It depends on what you mean by "old men", forty's or eighties? Were there any banners? or insignia that you could make out?
  • those old men were celebrating the 25th anniversary of the supposed opening of the cake shop...

....This is an annual parade that winds up at Bartel Prichard Sq..
Where those old men , from the VFW, leave a wreath and were paying homage to those who gave their lives ,so we may live as we do.
