hi all,

help! why would a 75MB WMV file convert to a 150MB MP3 (Level 3) file? it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, does it? :? :? :?
and wiki is assuming I know something about compression rates, etc. geh.

The default output bitrate of the MP3 in your conversion program is probably set higher than the original WMV. If you tinker with the settings, you can safely cut the output bitrate in half and produce an mp3 of the same quality as the original.
