Construction on St. Johns and 5th Avenue

I'm sure this may have been covered in previous posts but does anyone have an idea of what is being built on St Johns Pl an 5th Avenue? I am new to the neighborhood and am living on St. Johns, so excuse my ignorance on this but it clearly looks like nothing is being done there and it is just sitting collecting dust.

If anyone has any insight, I would really appreciate it!

You're exactly right- it's just sitting there and collecting dust. Most likely just ran out of financing.

Yes - merely a sidewalk hog and eyesore - unlike the 'deli' across St. Johns that serves a useful function as a place to crash your car should you forget to make the dogleg. Oh, and a place to dump trash.
