random question about getting a new bed in the Slope...

I need a new bed and I am not sure how to dispose of the old one. Any ideas? It's too heavy I think for me to carry it myself and I am also not sure where to put it. I'm thinking of buying a bed from Trade Winds on Bergen and Fifth. Does anyone have other recommendations for bed buying in the hood? :)

  • are you talking about the mattress or the frame? If the mattress, if you buy a new one and get it delivered they will usually take your old one away.

If it's the frame you can use craigslist to get someone to come take it off your hands. If it's in halfway decent shape you can offer it for free and I'm sure someone will come take it.

Alternatively, break it down and put it on the street on your trash day, you're allowed to put things like this out on the main trash day which is the one when they pick up your recycling.
