Yeah, no Ingmar Bergman, but an astonishing number of very entertaining movies in a period of 5 or 6 years. Ferris Bueller's Day Off....

I have seen Planes, Trains & Automobiles a zillion times and it never fails to make me laugh. Steve Martin is so good at bubbling anger (like John Cleese) and John Candy is great at playing a lovable schlub.

I'm so saddened. His movies perfectly captured teenage angst, MY teenage angst. They continue to capture my adult angst. So glad that he enriched my life.
