Looking for a loft or 2 BR in Gowanus for $1900

Dear Friends,

My fiance and I are looking to rent a 2BR or Loft apartment for $1900 or less in Gowanus, South Park Slope, Prospect Heights, or surrounding areas for Sept. 1st (flexible). We are concerned about space as we need space for an art studio, as well as our own living space, but want a safe neighborhood that is not too residential or too far from a subway. We're both in our early 30's and have excellent credit and stable jobs. We're also very neat, clean, and friendly.

We would like to rent directly from the owner. If you know of anything available, please let me know.
