Animal Collective in Prospect Park 8/14/09

AMAZING!!!! We went to the show last night in the park and once again, we were floored by animal collective!!!! If i didn't have to go to Long Island today, I'd be right back there for tonight's show...anyone else go last night??

we are going tonight and heard that the opening band can't make it- does anyone know what that means for when AC will come on? thanks

Went on Friday and it was fantastic! Amazing that three dudes can produce such a lush sound and perfect harmonies. Only complaint was the pitiful (Bud, Bud Light, Bud Lime, and Budweiser Ale) beer selection. The set was pretty sweet too with the waves and sharks and whatnot.

agreed... really felt like something special.
the 14th (for my birthday) they came on and i was in the middle of the woods in the park. it was like a private panda bear show before i wandered over to the bandshell.

re the beer selection, they told me Bud was a sponsor so they couldn't offer any other beers, but I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised with the Bud Ale, maybe just lowered expectations?
