PEACHES

i had a good experience there
-
was just there last week for a late weekday lunch. i had an excellent attentive waiter. my company said that the meatloaf and mash taters were a bit on the bland side - my food was excellent though. they didn't skimp on the shrimp in the po' boy sandwich and it was well spiced. the food was a bit more expensive then maybe the neighborhood is used to, but it was definitely not overpriced. sandwich +salad+ fries = about 11 bucks. atmosphere was nice/friendly... though a bit boisterous at the bar.
give it a 7out of 10 . the place is not worthy of such a harsh review. -
The atmosphere was nice and the food was okay, but I completely agree about the prices AND the service. I have no problem paying $12-15 for a brunch inclusive of mimosa/bloody, tea/coffee and food. But when a bloody mary costs $10, an egg sandwich costs $10 and coffee costs $2, you have just officially overpaid. I understand your average egg IS expensive and SO hard to scramble, but come on, its Bed Stuy.
(In their defense, they have the market cornered.) -
where is this place?
-
lewis av and decatur, if i recall correctly. right next to Bread Stuy (which i endorse).

if price is your issue, i have no idea why Bread Stuy is endorsed. -

well, price AND service. but when i went to bread stuy to get a coffee i saw that you can get a sandwich and soup for $8. That would run about $15 at Peaches. granted, they are different types of places, Peaches is so overpriced. a $10 bloody mary! $10 for a breakfast sandwich!
