Last edited by...

When a message is edited and reposted, sometimes it then says, after the message: "Last edited by Camaysar, etc." But sometimes after an edit that additional info is not present. What determines whether it says it or doesn't? Can that "Last edited..." message be prevented or deleted? Thanks!

If a post remains the latest post in a given thread, editing it will not result in a "Last edited by" note.

If another post has been made to the thread after the post in question, then editing the post (and reposting it, out of chronological sequence of posts in the thread) will automatically result in the "Last edited by" note.

For example, I just added this by a subsequent edit. If there was no post after when I first posted it, then it will not show the "Last edited by" note.
