Looking for a studio/1BR for Oct. 15-Nov. 1

Hi there! I've lived in Boerum Hill and Park Slope for a few years now, and would like to continue--without paying a broker's fee. Many apartments in these areas are handled by brokers, so I'm turning to Brooklynian for help.

I'm interested in any neighborhood offered. Red Hook, Prospect Heights, Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill, Any Hill, Benny Hill, Park Slope, Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn Heights... Just let me know what you have available.

I can't afford much--$1,300 max. for rent--but I'm reliably employed, I have good credit, and I'm a very quiet, clean, and undemanding tenant. (I can provide proof of all those qualities.) I also have a young cat.

I'm looking to move between October 15 and November 1. I know this is early, but I'm hoping there's a landlord out there who would like to settle an available apartment in advance as much as I would.
