Fulton Flea Week 3 - Sunday Sept 27 — Brooklynian

Fulton Flea Week 3 - Sunday Sept 27

As a follow-up to last week's post - Fort Greene residents are indeed ready to explore new spaces! Week 2 of the Fulton Flea saw an increase in the number of residents willing to cross the street and walk on over to a newly occupied parking lot to discover what was happening, and to partake of quality goods, information and service. And simply - with an outpouring of the diversity that makes up our neighborhood - our neighbors welcome a chance to enjoy a nice day, hear amazing live unplugged acoustic music, browse and maybe buy some wares and treats, and in so doing Fort Greene shows that we can create local economic opportunity for home-based workers and Main Street shops.

We can create "park" in a parking lot, and we can find our Common Ground on paved blacktop! We are willing to walk where we haven't in the past, if there is something to explore that is inviting and receptive to our interest -- and the Fulton Flea remains a local rooted opportunity to discover and welcome shared interest.

The Fulton Flea will be happening again this Sunday Sept 27 from 10 am to 6 pm at 650 Fulton Street in the parking lots of the Brooklyn Plaza Medical Center.

Len Xiang will be performing live music from Noon on. Participating Vendors include Michael Allen Desserts; Dajeh Restaurant; Benjamin Pasteur Antiques; Amaya Designs; Wada-Africa Fashion; Crumbs Children's Clothes; R. Sutton Opera Collection (Beverly Sills Vintage era); SkimKim Catering; Tony's Vinyl LPs; NY Life; Nic's Naturals Body Care Products; Chess and Fredy Crafts; plus other Vintage and collectible items, and health information!
