World Peace March Kick-off Party w/ Citizens, Earthdriver and more.

The first ever World March for Peace and Nonviolence will begin on
Ghandi’s birthday, October 2nd, 2009 in New Zealand and end while
ushering in a new year on January 2nd, 2010 in Argentina.

The March has been endorsed by thousands of people including: Noam
Chomsky, Yoko Ono, Lou Reed, Art Garfunkel, Jimmy Carter, Ornette
Coleman, Pete Seeger, Howard Zinn, Penelope Cruz, Desmond Tutu and
many more.

Those marching and their supporters are asking for the dismantling of
nuclear weapons and for an end to all forms of war and violence
(physical, economic, racial, religious, cultural, sexual and
psychological).

The kickoff Concert will feature live music by Earthdriver, Imani
Uzuri, Choco Orta, The Citizens, Red Baraat and Mahina Movement. The
event will also include art, photos and live hook-ups from around the
globe.
