TOMORROW: Climb to the top of the GAP Arch (and more)

Flash! Tomorrow (Saturday, April 1) is "opening day" in Prospect Park and Eugene Patron (the Park's media liaison) has given us at Daily Slope/Daily Heights an invite to do a press tour of the Park! This will be you and about 4 - 6 journalists from smaller publications in the area.

I can't go, but if you've never been to the top of the Arch in Grand Army Plaza - which is rarely open to the public - now is your chance.

You can do any or all of the itinerary below. Unfortunately, there is no "plus one" (and sorry, no tour of the cemetery). Interested? Contact me ASAP by e-mail or PM.
10 AM - meet for coffee at the historic Litchfield Villa (the Park HQ).
10:30 - meet up with one of the volunteer crews in the Park
11:00 - take a quick drive-by tour of the new Parade Ground sporting fields and new tennis center
11:30 head over to the Audubon Center for either a nature walk or boat tour

1:00 Lunch with Prospect Park bigwigs Thomas and Phillips (including Q&A)
2:00 Binnen/Lullwater Bridge and Carousel photo-ops
2:30 Tour of the Lefferts Historic House
3: 00 special visit to the top of the Arch at Grand Army Plaza (not normally open to the public).
