best car service?

I've been using Eastern for 10 years (not 5x/week, but for random pickups, airport trips, trips to Manhattan, etc.) without problem. They are super fast, competitively price and I've never had any really scary cars or drivers

I have always recommend XYZ Car Service which my company has been using for over 20 years and neither myself or our clients have never had a problem with them. Full disclosure: there is a thread here where someone did have a problem with them but I cannot remember what it was.

Eastern is pretty good however, I always ask for them to send me a car that
isn't overwhelmed with "car incense" there have been times I've had a car pick me up which has that scented dashboard liquid freshener which left me feeling quite ill. Especially the fruit flavors. So I usually ask for an unscented
or lightly scented car.. Just thought I'd warn about that, as I sadly
have a problem with fragrances which is pretty bad. There is limited
protection on smoking cigarettes but zippo when it comes to perfumes and
the like. For those that may share this affliction I just thought I'd give a
heads up. -
^ I have the same problem. I can't stand those Christmas tree deodorizers to the point where I have ended up with a migraine and/or vomiting from the scent. Some colognes have the same effect on me....and it's often worse in the morning. I have also put in the same request. Any time I am going to the airport in the morning I try to make sure I mention it

I like Arecibo. They have by far the most cars on the road in the area, so you can generally get a car very quickly.
-
i use arecibo and northlands. both of which have been totally fine. no issues with either.

I use to use Eastern until they had me waiting outside 40+ minutes , telling me that they'll be there in 10 mins. I called them back and the guy said 'Yeah , he's almost there, 2 mins."....waited another 10 mins and then called Arecibo. They were here in 7 mins.

I've used Eastern -- mostly for airport trips, but also to Penn Station. Always at my place within 5 minutes. As for scents, it's a crapshoot. Didn't realize I could request "lightly scented" cars and may try it out next time.

Strongly recommend Brownstone 718-788-1234. Use them constantly and their cars are always clean late-model limos (never beat up, smelly or perfumed, smaller cars), and both drivers and dispatchers are calm, polite, and efficient.
Eastern, Arecibo, etc all get the job done and might even be cheaper, but they are typical car services - kinda beat up and jammed with car deodorizers, with frazzled drivers and dispatchers. (I know Eastern also runs a separate 'Premium' service these days, that might be better).
Brownstone is a step above those - just about as good as the fancier limo services you see lined up outside investment banks after hours. -
Eastern, especially if you know ahead of time and reserve online--go to their website.
They always seem to send nicer cars when I go thru the website and never once missed a pickup. -
This is the best car service:

Is there a car service I can use my credit card on? So many times I'm in a weird pinch and simply don't have cash in my wallet.
-
I have used Continental for many years. I don't know if I could call them the best but they show up on time for airport rides and if I call for a local ride when they say they will be right there.. they are and when they say 7 minutes the car comes in that time frame. Most of the drivers are polite but no too chatty. I don't really want to know the driver's country of origin and family history on my ride to a doctor's office. If I am on the other side of the park...midwood, sheepshead bay... I call New Mexicana to return to PS.

"and the drivers cannot be psychos"...
I'm pretty sure at least one driver for any car service doubles as a coke dealer. But does that make them a psycho or a savvy businessman? Discuss. -
Legends accepts credit cards.

Whether it is a special occasion or a simple pickup or drop-off at the airport, we are here to provide the quickest solution to fit your needs. stretch hummer
-
^if I ever order a stretch hummer, I am hoping that somebody on this board cares about me to tackle me, tie me up and send me to the psych ward.

Big fan of Arecibo 90% of the time. I take it to the airport on work trips quite often and have to use my credit card (for reimbursement purposes). They've made that particular process a bit more inconvenient, but overall, it's still the best.
