Tailor for jeans
Can anyone recommend a tailor who knows how to properly hem jeans? The last tailor I tried (someone on Bartel Pritchard Square) did a rough job -- a quickie clip, fold and stitch. Someone I used to use out of state had a great technique in which they actually kept the original hem and worked it into the new length. Thanks for any suggestions!

I'd use the search button (under advanced search) because I seem to recall about a year or 2 ago there being a couple threads specifically on jean hemming. Good luck

Try 8th Avenue Green Cleaners on the corner of 8th and 13th street. I just brought in a pair of expensive jeans to be shortened and they did a very good job.
and.. you can choose to have it done the way you described; by attaching the original hem. I paid $9.
