Has anyone gotten married at Borough Hall?

Me and Todd Whitney are getting married and picked a date to make it official downtown. I know about the paperwork and stuff (a 24hr wait). If you have a story about a wedding there I would love to hear it! And any advice to go along with it.

I got married there. My wife is british and we met while she was visiting NY. When we got married in city hall there was a young couple getting married right before us. He was about 23 and spanish, she was around 20 black and very pregnant. When they walked out of the chapel he yelled out "I IS MARRIED NOW!"

My beautiful bride thought it was the funniest thing. Till today she says "I is..."

Haven't gotten married at Borough Hall, but the fiance and I got our marriage license at the clerk's office in Manhattan, and let me tell you it's NICE. Like, REALLY NICE. We were shocked! If we didn't have to wait the 24hours (and didn't have a large deposit down somewhere else) I would've married him right there.
