today's odd pet question: Pet bellybuttons
Subject: today's odd pet question: Pet bellybuttons
ok, all of the pets I have ever had have either:Small scars (and/or missing fur) where the belly button was. They do not have inies or outies.
Question: Does anyone have a pet with an inie or outie?
Theory: Humans would have neither inies or outies if we allowed the ambical (sp?) cords to simply fall off, like we do for pets.
Discuss.
posters with medical knowledge, of the human or pet kind, are encouraged to contribute.

You are ignoring the topic at hand, perhaps because you do not have a pet. ...Spongebob and Carnivore do not count.

My pit bull (who passed away 2 years ago)
had a noticeable belly button. I thought it was the cutest thing. -
...and maybe if we didn't make babies wear hats, we'd have tall, pointy ears?
animals don't "allow the umbilical cord to fall off" anymore than humans do. the mother chews it to detach the placenta, and the stub falls off, just as we cut the cord and then let the stub fall off.
stop trying to blame yo mamma for your funky bellybutton. -

So noted. ...and let the record show regular washing keeps it unfunky.
stop trying to blame yo mamma for your funky bellybutton.
Returning to the topic at hand: We have a confirmed noticeable dog belly button report on a pitbull. Rachel, was it an inie or outie?

At first I tried the most authoritative source I knew (Brooklynian pets), but it let me down, so I had to resort to the unreliable internet. -
Oskie has an tiny little outie. It's very cute. As is the rest of him.
