Bowling tournament on Sunday, 10/25
Just wanted to let any bowling enthusiasts know that I am co-organizing a tournament at the Gutter in Greenpoint tomorrow. It will consist of 32 people, and we have five spots left open at the moment...so PM me if you're interested as soon as possible and I can get you on the list. Here's all the info:
I am pleased to announce that on Sunday, October 25th, Gutter will
be hosting the First Annual Memorial Classic Invitational, a 32-person
tournament sponsored by Sixpoint Craft Ales.
The tournament begins at 2 PM. Admission is $20, and gets you a
minimum two games of bowling and a complimentary glass of Sixpoint.
Using four lanes at the alley, we hope to crown a winner in about four
hours. The 32 bowlers will be randomly paired into 16 games and the
games are individual head to head-- best score moves on to the next
round. The first round will be best of three games, and every round
thereafter will be one game. Once we get down to a final four, the
losers will play for third place.
Prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. First prize is a tour
of the Sixpoint brewery for the winner and up to ten friends (they
don't offer public tours, so this is pretty cool), and a Sixpoint
t-shirt. Second prize is a tour of the brewery for two people and a
Sixpoint t-shirt. Third prize is a $50 gift certificate to the Gutter.
One added wrinkle: if your final score in any game includes the digit
"6"--for example, if it's a 116, 126, etc.--you get a half-priced beer
courtesy of Sixpoint. And if you hit 166 exactly, a free Sixpoint is
yours.
Happy bowling!
