Car vs Moped accident - South Slope

Did anyone else see the pretty terrible accident in the middle of the 16th St/7th Ave intersection around 2pm today? Looks like a car and moped collided and the moped did not fare well... totally smashed up. Ambulances had already departed the scene and must have taken both drivers bc there was no one present except a load of cops and the two vehicles surrounded with crime scene tape. Hope everyone made it through ok.

I live right on that corner and got back to my apartment minutes after it happened. Hope everyone is doing well, but it did not look good

I passed by right when they were putting some guy in the ambulance. It did not look good. I think the guy on the scooter was from Joy Restaurant because as I walked passed there a worker was frantically pulling down the gate and he bolted down 7th ave, down the middle of the street, towards the accident. Hope the guy who was hit is okay.
