Are your winter hats and scarves becoming more of a close encounter than a gift? This December you'll be inspired to finish them with a knitting circle that has seen more holiday UFOs than SETI.

A4A Granny Square Workshop
As requested by a few members, I will be available to give free crochet instruction at our MeetUps to make Granny Squares for those who would like to participate in the Afghans for Afghans charity drive. A4A requests that you use 100% wool or blends of animal fiber such as alpaca. The finished squares should be 8" X 8". Bring some medium weight wool yarns, your hook (size F or G), and print the FREE instructions:

Knit PH at Freddy's Bar
Sunday December 6, 2009
From 7:00 - 9:00 PM

Ooops. Although Knit PH usually meets at Freddy's Bar every 3rd Sunday, we will meet this coming Sunday Dec. 6 '09 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM due to a holiday schedule conflict.

Freddy's Bar... frosty beer, martinis, wine, wine from a box, and interesting decor — always available on this night: swift, wool winder, yardage counter and good conversation. Crocheters are welcome and men are encouraged. Freddy's Bar is located at the corner of Dean Street and 6th Avenue, near Pacific/Atlantic Station and Bergen 2/3 stop, right down the street from the 78th Precinct. Getting there is easier than getting arrested.

Knit PH at Prospect Perk Café
Tuesday December 8, 2009
7:00 - 9:00 PM

Knit PH meets at Prospect Perk Café every 2nd Tuesday each month from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Prospect Perk is a cozy café that seats 12 people. The "RSVP MAYBE" feature is disabled to ensure that we have enough seating, so please be sure to RSVP as "Yes" or "No" for Knit PH at Prospect Perk Café. Prospect Perk Café is conveniently located between the 7th Av "Q" stop and the G.A.P. "2/3" stop on the corner of Sterling Place and Flatbush. They have hot-pressed and cold sandwiches, fine teas, hot cocoa, coffee, pastries... and of course, knitting.
