they say its bad luck to eat lobster on New Years day! There is a traditional southern meal called "Hoppin John" that is usually eaten on new years. Its supposedly lucky!

I'm sure its some self promo but I couldn't believe how many restaurants were closed yesterday, the pizza places were closed lunchtime and me and my friend went to eat and 2of 3 restaurants weren't open.
Thought that was weird. -
