Can you recommend movers? — Brooklynian

Can you recommend movers?

edited November -1 in Prospect Heights
Hey neighbors, I am moving within the 'hood and need some movers. Looking tough to find one available at the end of the month. Recommendations please? Prefer simple by the hour team, not flat rate.

Oh and by the way, I have a great comfy love seat for sale, and a few other things.

Thanks.

  • The last two times I've moved I've used this small outfit; some East European guys headed up by a guy named Andriy. They worked hard and fast and nothing was ever broken. They wrapped everything very thoroughly.
What they lack in cheerfulness they gain in efficiency and price. It did end up costing more on the day than quoted on the phone ( based on the fact I had a one bed apt ) but I did have A LOT of stuff and parking issues meant it took them 5 hours to move me, but they were still significantly cheaper than other quotes I got. They'll come and give you a solid quote if they can come over and get an idea of how much stiff you have.

  • Just moved into the nabe (hello all!)

We had a suprisingly awesome moving experience with Band with a Van.

They showed up on the dot despite the blizzard completed it 10 mins early (and knocked a few bucks off the price) and were just downright good friendly guys.

I seriously can't reccommend them enough.

NYCity van was amazing. They moved us in the blizzard, were on time and did not try to drag out there time.
