Tipping contractor workers. — Brooklynian

Tipping contractor workers.

We are having our bathroom renovated. The job is less than $10k, more than 5 and took about two weeks.
One guy has basically done the entire job himself and has done an amazing job, and he has been really pleasant, respectful, etc
Is it appropriate to tip him when the job is over? is it customary? Thoughts on the proper amount? 50? 100?

  • That's what's up when someone does an excellent job!

Tipping for a job well done is always appreciated- every circumstance is different but if you gave him what you thought you might like someone to tip you and a generous compliment as well, they would sure be grateful.

It's all about respect and gratitude.

My friends wrote a song about this. It's what helps the world go forward.
