MTA Rant
Sunday : Played tennis on Roosevelt Island. Tram is in repair, F train didnt run due to *technical* issues.
No way off the island but by bus/taxi
Monday : R train stops for 45 minutes right before atlantic
Tuesday : R train stops for 30+ minutes on my way home (somewhere around chambers)
Today : No F train for ages, had to take the G to 4th (from 7th, yeah I am lazy), then no R train for ages at 4th. 1h late for work.
Thats my rant.
HA.

So... just curious. Did you take a cab the whole way home from Roosevelt Island? Cuz isn't the only way off at 36th Ave way up in Queens?! And if the F isn't running, you'd still have to take a car pretty far to get a connection.
The MTA has been extra absurd lately. -
If you are interested, check out kind-of-similar discussion here:

Maybe if you email the MTA about it, there is a slim chance some good may come out of this, (vs no chance if you just vent on Brooklynian) You can just copy and paste your rant into an email using this link, if you are so inclined:

It is time to make the plunge and buy a car. I hear Toyotas are very cheap now and can accelecerate to 94 miles an hour in the blink of an eye.

totally off topic sorta, the mta doesn't want to do the hard decisions like stop servicing some area's with bus. I have a friend who use to work in depots that passengers never bother to pay for bus service.
I forget how much they lost like 200 million or something like that last time i read from the lost fares. in some areas.
bus drivers don't stop their buses and its against their rules to stop if some jackass climbs in without paying. it happens all the time.
besides that they should also take away over time for top guys and let the younger guys have a chance to work. because the older guys have seniority and top pay. they always get their choices of over time.
with a few simple measures they can save alot of money.
back to your rant after mines
