Imani Garden Spring Gathering

Imani Garden, located on Schenectady and Dean Street, is having it's annual spring gathering on March 21st from 2 to 5 PM at Our Lady of Charity RC Church, which is next door. In the plan for this year: chickens and egg CSA! We are now finishing up our water harvesting system, expanded to two water tanks to hold 1,000 gallons (chickens need 50 gallons per day, including water to clean the coops). Bea Ayer and Stacy Murphy of Bk Farmyards and NRYP will be building the chicken coops and managing the chickens. As for the egg CSA, well you can figure, given that chickens lay eggs, somebody has to eat all of those eggs. Maybe that somebody could be you!
